Antiferromagnetic cyclic tetrameric copper( <scp>ii</scp> ) complex and 8-azaxanthine derived from 1,3-dimethyl-5-(5′-methyl-3′-isoxazolyl-azo)-6-aminouracil: structures, non-covalent interactions and magnetism
Cu( ii ) and azide ions in MeOH cause the ligand to break along the N–O bond to form an antiferromagnetic cyclic-tetrameric Cu( ii ) complex. Conversely, the ligand with Cu( ii ) in DMF, changes into an 8-azaxanthine derivative.
