A cathode electrochemiluminescence sensor based on graphite carbon nitride nanosheets for the determination of buflomedil hydrochloride in mice plasma

Graphite carbon nitride nanosheets (g-C3N4 NSs) have outstanding electrochemiluminescence (ECL) performance because of their unique structure. A g-C3N4 NS-decorated glassy carbon electrode displayed a remarkable ECL signal. Based on the effective quenching effect of g-C3N4 NSs by buflomedil hydrochloride (Buf), a new method was developed to determine Buf in mice plasma. The detection mechanism is based on the intermediate species of SO4˙- was consumed by Buf ˙-. Under optimal conditions, the linear detection ranges were between 3 × 10-9 and 3 × 10-6 mol L-1 for Buf, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9938. The Buf detection limit was 9.7 × 10-10 mol L-1 (S/N = 3). The developed approach was successfully used for Buf analysis in mice plasma. Therefore, the developed sensor holds potential as a useful platform for pharmaceutical analysis and pharmacokinetics evaluation.
