Non-centrosymmetric phase of [C 4 N 2 H 14 ][CdBr 4 ] for solar-blind ultraviolet detection

A non-centrosymmetric phase of [C 4 N 2 H 14 ][CdBr 4 ] with an ultrawide bandgap of 3.88 eV has been synthesized hydrothermally and exhibits high selective responsivity and a fast response time (283 μs) to 254 nm light for solar-blind UV detection.
