In silico analysis of multidrug-resistant proteins of Salmonella enterica
Salmonella enterica is a Gram-negative, facultative anaerobic bacillus that belongs to the Enterobacteriaceae family. Drug resistant S. enterica can pose detrimental impact in human, including higher mortality rate as compared to normal strains. Therefore, in this study, we conduct a comprehensive investigation and profiling of the top ten drug-resistant proteins in S. enterica . Notable findings include the tet(B) protein being the most thermally stable and polar among all, with most motifs shared by at least two proteins. Additionally, a signal peptide was found exclusively in mdsA and blaCMY-2, while tet(B) was observed to have 12 transmembrane domains. These insights will be highly valuable to the scientific community studying drug-resistant proteins in S. enterica and will support ongoing efforts to combat this harmful foodborne bacterium.
