Nonlocal Metasurface Lens for Long‐Wavelength Infrared Radiation (Adv. Mater. 43/2025)
Longwave Infrared Nonlocal Metalens The image illustrates the demonstration of an ultra-thin nonlocal metalens operating in the long-wavelength infrared range, reported in Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202507848) by Andrea Alù and co-workers, representing the first realization of flat optics for night vision operation. The introduced platform promises multi-functional, low-profile, wavelength- and polarization-selective meta-optics with enhanced operation, compatible with the challenging thermal spectral region for imaging and sensing applications.
