Clarifying the Addition of Scientific Thinking as a Subdomain to the COEPA and 2025 ACPE Standards
This commentary highlights a commonly overlooked change in the 2022 Curricular Outcomes and Entrustable Professional Activities document knowledge domain, where the only subdomain was retitled from "Learner" to "Scientific Thinker." The implications of the change, the background of scientific thinking, and a commitment to the biomedical sciences as the underlying foundation of pharmacy education are further discussed and explored.
