The First International Workshop on Neuro-Symbolic Software Engineering (NSE 2025)

The first workshop on Neuro-Symbolic Software Engineering (NSE) was held on May 3rd, 2025, co-located with ICSE 2025 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The workshop is a focal point for software engineering research that combines symbolic-formal and learningbased methods. Bringing together these two large methodological traditions, NSE provides a unique forum for presenting innovative research on challenging problems that require combining sound methods and scalable machine learning techniques. The multidisciplinary character of NSE aims to promote the cross-pollination of approaches and spur collaboration among software engineering communities that usually work independently from each other.
