Perspectives of advanced X-ray micro-CT for paleodendroclimatology

The broad application of X-ray micro-computed tomography for high-resolution, tree-ring-based climate reconstructions has long been restricted by low sample throughput. Here, we describe recent technological advances that remove this barrier, opening new horizons for paleodendroclimatology.
