First person – Natalie Mosqueda
ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Natalie Mosqueda is first author on ‘ Importin α regulates ciliogenesis and cilia length with implications for Xenopus nephrogenesis’, published in JCS. Natalie is a PhD Student in the lab of Dr Christopher W. Brownlee at Renaissance School of Medicine, Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, USA, working on exploring the role of importin α in cilia biology by studying in vitro human epithelial cell primary cilia, in vivo Xenopus laevis multiciliated cells and renal primary cilia in the embryonic kidney.
