Pulsed Gamma-Ray Emission of PSR J0447+2447

Abstract PSR J0447+2447 is an isolated millisecond pulsar with a period of ∼2.9953 ms discovered by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST). By jointly analyzing data from FAST and the Fermi Large Area Telescope, we derived a phase-connected timing solution of this pulsar, which enabled us to detect γ -ray pulsations from PSR J0447+2447 with a weighted H-test value of 132.5, corresponding to a detection significance of ∼10.1 σ . The luminosity of the pulsar in the 0.1–100 GeV range is L γ = (3.79 ± 0.61 ± 1.5)×10 32 erg s −1 assuming the pulsar is at a distance of ∼1.0 kpc, corresponding to a γ -ray energy efficiency of (4.52 ± 1.17 ± 2.02)%.
