Placenta-oriented counseling: challenges and opportunities in obstetric practice

Additionally, many lesions help contextualize antenatal findings or clarify postnatal complications, offering valuable diagnostic and prognostic information. The article reviews the spectrum of placental lesions, ranging from common findings to rare high-risk entities, and their implications for future pregnancy outcomes. It examines both the persistent challenges and emerging opportunities associated with placenta-oriented counseling in modern obstetric practice. It also explores strategies for translating placental findings into actionable care, emphasizing the importance of implementing structured, multidisciplinary review processes.
