An Innovative Leadership Development Program
Partnerships for leadership development are key to success, particularly as nurse leaders forge relationships globally. In this paper we report on a unique partnership between 2 universities, focusing on both leadership development and health care delivery, as well as policy change. Program design, implementation, and evaluation are described with attention to lessons learned and recommendations for change. The unique mentoring component of the program, crossing global borders, and involving mentors from 6 countries, serves as a model for extension to other leadership development projects globally.
