Identification of interstitial oxygen color centers in CaGdAlO 4 single crystals and their elimination strategy
Interstitial oxygen induces color centers in CGA crystals. High-quality, colorless CGA crystals are achieved by inhibiting oxygen incorporation during polycrystalline synthesis (carbon burial) and single-crystal growth (N 2 /H 2 ).
