Enhanced CO 2 affinity in a metal–organic framework through green incorporation of a dual-functional amino acid
Post-synthetic incorporation of amino acids into the Zr-based metal-organic framework DUT-67 <i>via</i> relatively green methods yields materials with enhanced CO2 affinity. Structural and sorption studies reveal high affinity for DUT-67-Trp, exploiting its dual functionality to achieve an adsorption enthalpy level comparable to those of high-performing frameworks. The findings provide a promising pathway towards developing sustainable amino-functionalized CO2 sorbents.
