Eco-Efficiency Evaluation about Capacity Change of an Absorption Tower

This study, in order to understand the sustainability due to the capacity change of the absorption tower, the eco-efficiency evaluation was conducted before and after the change in the absorption tower. And for this purpose, eco-efficiency, factor and trend analysis were conducted. In addition, the environmental load indicator of eco-efficiency was defined as the environmental impact generated per unit capacity of the absorption tower, and the product value indicator was set as the amount of air pollutants removed per unit capacity of the tower. The eco-efficiency evaluation result, it was found that the change in the capacity of the absorption tower improved the eco-efficiency compared to before the change. As a result of the trend analysis, it was confirmed that the value after changing the absorption tower was in the “Fully eco-efficiency” area due to the improvement of product value and environmental load factor. In other words, it means that the capacity change of the absorption tower has improved the absorption tower in terms of environment and economy.
