Region-integrated energy management with energy dynamic refinement mode under multiple utilizations of hydrogen energy
In the context of continuous energy coupling and efficient hydrogen utilization, multiple energy sources need to be managed comprehensively. However, prior literature regarding integrated energy does not sufficiently study the energy dynamic refinement mode under multiple utilizations of hydrogen energy. To this end, an integrated energy management framework has been developed to fully quantify the hydrogen energy present in both production and conversion modes, thereby reinforcing flexibility in energy utilization. In the presented approach, on-site production and conversion are simulated to analyze the energy requirements of hydrogen in the production and multiple utilization modes. On the basis of detailed modeling of equipment, a novel joint operation model of power-to-hydrogen, carbon capture, and hydrogen-to-gas conversion is constructed, as well as the energy input–output relationship analysis of the gas-fired generator and combined heat and power. The energy dynamic refinement mode under multiple utilizations of hydrogen energy is established, and the output characteristics of the coupled equipment are explored to achieve the figurative representation of utilizing multiple energies. A convex packet linearization method based on binary expansion is proposed for convex optimization of the nonlinear constraints. Simulation results show that the multiple utilization of hydrogen energy is beneficial for enhancing the 4.3363 MW renewable energy integration, and the total cost, considering the energy dynamic refinement mode of the units, is reduced by 918 $. The proposed method enables fine-grained modeling of the energy output from the equipment, facilitating efficient energy conversion and utilization.
