The transformation of a bimetal carboxylate-MOF into a phosphonate-based MOF as a multifunctional photocatalyst

A P-CT-MOF is first synthesized, and exhibits CO 2 RR to CO production rate of 3650.3 μmol h −1 g −1 and H 2 O oxidation to O 2 production rate of 602.1 μmol, which result from phosphonate groups improving the charge separation and increasing Lewis acidity.
