Capacity planning of PV-BESS system considering electricity demand
Photovoltaic-battery energy storage stations (PV-BESS) system can effectively improve the characteristics of distributed PV power generation and promote regional PV energy consumption. The charging demand of electric vehicles and PV power generation favor PV-BESS. To meet the growing load demand for charging electric vehicles, a capacity planning scheme of PV-BESS and charging station considering power demand was proposed to realize reasonable capacity planning of PV-BESS and charging station. The planning model of PV-BESS system and charging station is constructed, which includes PV power generation system, BESS system, charging load demand of electric vehicles (EVs) and near-term electricity consumption prediction. A comprehensive plan to determine the best PV-BESS system and charging station deployment scenario at the lowest total cost per year. We built the best pre-planning model to minimize the day-to-day operating costs of the system. Finally, simulation was conducted using MATLAB, verified the correlation between the proposed method and the constructed model, which can meet the growth of electricity demand and reduce carbon emission.
