Comprehensive value assessment of power demand-side resources
As load demand increases and sustainable development is prioritized, managing power demand on the consumer side has become crucial for providing regulation capability in modern power systems with a high penetration rate of intermittent renewable energy based generation. To enhance the efficiency of utilizing power demand-side resources, it is essential to evaluate their value from multiple perspectives. In this context, a comprehensive evaluation index system is established in this paper for assessing the regulation performance of demand-side resources with varying capacities, with three key dimensions included: security and reliability, economic efficiency, and environmental sustainability. Then, a combined approach using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Entropy Weight Method (EWM) is employed to calculate the weights of each indicator. Subsequently, the comprehensive evaluation is conducted to determine the overall score. Case studies are carried out to demonstrate the proposed method.
