Using EEA data to communicate with the public - the updated European Environment and Health Atlas
Abstract The European Environment and Health Atlas is a public-facing communication tool building on EEA data and other vetted sources. It focuses on environmental pressures on health and benefits of nature, based on a dedicated web platform with an interactive online map viewer. The Atlas presents disaggregated spatial data, often at fine grain (1x1 km grids or less). It also serves as a gateway to EEA information and assessments and is a key deliverable under the Zero Pollution Action Plan. In its latest update, the Atlas has now developed 3D air pollution maps for European capitals, new materials on noise and health and a whole section on environment and health inequalities in Europe.
