Inside Front Cover: Structure‐Oriented Metal‐Organic Framework Activation via Proximal Oligoalkyl Quaternary Ammonium Grafting Enhances Long‐Chain PFAS Sorption (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 48/2025)
In their Research Article (e202514746), Kaixing Fu et al. present a surface-functionalized UiO-66-L3 sorbent, enabling synergistic interactions with long-chain PFAS through the surface-modified proximal oligoalkyl-quaternary ammonium motifs. Consequently, the sorbent exhibits rapid kinetics and high sorption capacities for long-chain PFAS and derivatives, highlighting the critical role of surface chemistry modulation in Zr-MOFs, and advancing structure-oriented design of high-performance sorbents for the remediation of water environments.
