Development of a Bismuth‐Based Metal–Organic Framework for Hydrogen Production

ABSTRACT The demand for supercapacitors highly rapidly increasing in the area of energy‐storage devices. In the last decade, researchers explored such types of electrode materials that contain high energy density, electrochemical stability, eco‐friendly as well and economically usable. Various research has been based on metal‐based nanocomposites; among all of them, bismuth‐based nanocomposites are highly recommended due to their multiferroic redox characteristics, charge‐storage capacity, and non‐toxic behavior. In this research communication, we discuss the importance of bismuth‐based materials in the area of energy storage devices, types of bismuth nanocomposites for supercapacitor applications, and their future scope in the area of energy storage applications.
