Sectoral Impacts on Energy Intensity: Developed V/s Developing Nations
The proportion of energy consumed by agriculture, industry, services, and transportation sectors exert varying effects on the overall energy intensity of economies. This analysis examines the sectoral contributions to energy intensity in both developed and developing countries. In developed nations, increased agricultural energy consumption has contributed to reductions in energy intensity. Conversely, heightened industrial energy use in developing countries tend to elevate their energy intensity, whereas the adoption of renewable energy sources support energy intensity reduction within these economies.
