Chemical constituents from the tubers of Pinellia pedatisecta Schott
One undescribed five memebered cyclic compounds, 2,3-dimethyl-5-hydroxy-5-(2-oxopropyl)cyclopent-2-ene-1,4-dione (1), together with twenty-three reported chemical constituents (2-24) were separated from the tubers of Pinellia pedatisecta Schott. The undescribed structure was elucidated by HRESIMS and NMR spectroscopic analyses. Additionally, the results of activity screening assay indicated that compounds 7 and compound 8 showed significant inhibitory activities against α-glucosidase with IC50 values of 51.6 nmol/L and 13.43 nmol/L, respectively.
