Whitehead's Chinese Disciples at Harvard University and Whitehead's Influence on the Development of Modern Chinese Philosophy
Abstract In Process and Reality (7) Whitehead points out that his philosophy of organism seems to be closer to certain characteristics of Chinese and Indian thought than to Western thought. Many scholars have found that Whitehead's philosophy is in line with Eastern thought and can be regarded as a pioneer in the integration of Eastern and Western thought. It is precisely because of the unique temperament of his philosophy that Whitehead attracted a group of Chinese admirers during his time at Harvard. In turn, these admirers significantly influenced contemporary Chinese philosophy.
