Integrating generative AI and VR in museum design: an intelligent system for interactive engagement

This paper presents a smart museum design system that integrates Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology to enhance interactive experiences. Traditional museum display methods face limitations in addressing the diverse and personalized needs of modern audiences. AIGC enables personalized content generation based on visitors' interests and behavior data, while VR enhances engagement by creating immersive environments. The proposed system follows a hierarchical architecture comprising a front-end presentation layer, business logic layer, data processing layer, and back-end support layer to ensure efficient content generation and interactive experiences. By leveraging personalized content creation and immersive scene construction, the system significantly enhances visitor satisfaction. Experimental results demonstrate that the AIGC-VR integrated system outperforms traditional approaches in content recommendation accuracy, virtual scene fidelity, and interaction convenience. Additionally, visitor engagement, measured by extended stay duration and increased interaction frequency, is notably improved.

Abstract

This paper presents a smart museum design system that integrates Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology to enhance interactive experiences. Traditional museum display methods face limitations in addressing the diverse and personalized needs of modern audiences. AIGC enables personalized content generation based on visitors' interests and behavior data, while VR enhances engagement by creating immersive environments. The proposed system follows a hierarchical architecture comprising a front-end presentation layer, business logic layer, data processing layer, and back-end support layer to ensure efficient content generation and interactive experiences. By leveraging personalized content creation and immersive scene construction, the system significantly enhances visitor satisfaction. Experimental results demonstrate that the AIGC-VR integrated system outperforms traditional approaches in content recommendation accuracy, virtual scene fidelity, and interaction convenience. Additionally, visitor engagement, measured by extended stay duration and increased interaction frequency, is notably improved.
