Ayurveda Ahara market (AAM): Current trends, obstacles, plausible solutions, and prospects
Abstract Ayurveda Ahara ’ (AA) is a food prepared as per methods described in authoritative Ayurveda texts. As per Business Research Insights, the Global Ayurvedic Food market cost was USD 1682.7 million in 2022 and is projected to touch USD 3584.8 million by 2031, at a compound annual growth rate of 8.8% during the forecast period. A noteworthy surge in the demand for Ayurveda-based food has been noticed since COVID-19. As people become more aware of lifestyle diseases and the hazards of chemical-based products, there is a growing demand for natural products. This study aims to provide an overview of the current industry trends of AA products, identify the reasons driving the growth of the AA market, and highlight current hurdles and possible solutions. Relevant materials were taken from Ayurveda classical texts, internet sources, news platforms, business research papers, and government websites. The results of this review imply that the future prospects of AA are bright, driven by customer demand for preventative healthcare, natural components, and holistic health. The study concludes that Ayurveda contributes significantly to both food science and the Indian and global food market.
