SELF-PRESENTATION IN SCIENTIFIC DIALOGUE

The focus of this work is on speech acts of self-presentation, functioning in oral scientific dialogue interpreted as public speech, characterized by a spontaneous, highly expressive, polemic, etc. character. The paper highlights and describes the types of self-presentation presented in oral scientific dialogue: I self-presentation and we-self-presentation (differentiated on the basis of the criterion «the subject of self-presentation»), professional and non-professional self-presentation (differentiated on the basis of the parameter «degree of personalization»), expanded and non-expended self-presentation (classified in terms of the completeness of self-expression), positive and negative self-presentation (classified in terms of the vector orientation of self-presentation). The pragmatic properties of speech acts of self-presentation have been described: argumentation (which is about justifying some statement), prevention (which is about avoiding responding), demonstration (presenting the speaker), etc. Finally, the conclusion about a great diversity of speech acts of self-presentation as well as about their different pragmatics in oral scientific dialogue has been made, which proves their highly important role in dialogical forms of scientific discourse.
