Wind direction dataset for typical meteorological year of indonesia based on monte carlo method

This dataset supplements the recently developed typical meteorological year (TMY) with wind direction data based on hourly observations from 106 meteorological stations across Indonesia from 2011 to 2020. Wind measurements were collected using anemometers at a 10 m height across the stations. Missing wind speed data were filled using the debiased ERA5 reanalysis data, and missing wind direction values were completed trough a Monte Carlo simulation. The final wind direction data for TMY were constructed following the methodology developed in the previous paper: "Development of typical meteorological years based on quality control of datasets in Indonesia [1]." This dataset complements the above-mentioned previously developed TMY data for Indonesia and is intended to support future applications in building performance simulations, including energy-efficient and climate-responsive designs, among others.
