Familial extragenital lichen sclerosus with predominant facial involvement
We report a multigenerational family in which six members developed predominantly facial extragenital lichen sclerosus, an anatomical distribution rarely described outside single sporadic cases. Detailed clinical, dermoscopic and histopathological correlation confirms the diagnosis and this pedigree highlights the need to consider extragenital lichen sclerosus in persistent facial plaques and prompts further investigation into its genetic underpinnings.
