Constant Voltage/Constant Current Wireless Charging System Based on Magnetic Flux–Controlled Inductor
ABSTRACT This article presents a primary‐side control method based on a magnetic flux–controlled inductor (MFCI). By acquiring the auxiliary coil voltage and primary transmitter coil current signals in real time, the MFCI dynamically adjusted to achieve a constant current/voltage (CC/CV) output for the system. First, a mutual inductance model is established based on the LCC–S resonant topology, and the regulation mechanism of output characteristics through MFCI is theoretically verified. Then, the operating principle of the MFCI is examined. By controlling the current ratio between the primary and secondary sides of the MFCI transformer, the magnetic flux on the primary side is regulated, enabling continuous and controllable inductance characteristics. A closed‐loop control strategy is also proposed by integrating feedback from auxiliary coil voltage sensing and primary transmitter coil current sensing. Finally, the accuracy and effectiveness of the MFCI‐based CC/CV wireless charging system are validated through simulations and experimental results. At a charging power of 202 W, the system achieves a peak efficiency of 90.2%. Moreover, when the magnetic coupler experiences a maximum lateral offset of 65 mm along the X axis, the system maintains a stable CC/CV output, demonstrating excellent tolerance to misalignment in the X direction.
