Study of some α-induced fusion reactions at sub-barrier energies by using selective resonant tunneling model

Nuclear fusion reactions at the sub-barrier energy regime (typically, [Formula: see text]1[Formula: see text]MeV) govern different fundamental aspects of the primordial nucleosynthesis in compact objects. One of the primary keys to understanding the relationship between stellar evolution and nuclear reaction dynamics is the energy dependence of astronuclear observables like the fusion cross-section [Formula: see text]. This paper presents the results of a few [Formula: see text]-induced nuclear reaction studies by considering the one-step Selective Resonant Tunneling Model (SRTM). As an improvement over earlier works, authors have invoked the concept of a density-dependent double-folding potential model for numerical computation of the astrophysical S-factor, S(E) and fusion cross-section, [Formula: see text]. The results of the calculations have been compared with those found in the literature. The results obtained in the present studies agree fairly with the experimentally observed results.
