Proposal of T-type Multi-Level Linear Amplifier

This letter proposes a T-type multi-level linear amplifier (TMLA) as a new topology of Multi-level linear amplifier (MLLA) circuit based on the T-type NPC multi-level inverter. The proposed TMLA can improve output voltage drop and efficiency because the output current passes through only one MOSFET when outputting large voltages compared to other topologies of MLLAs. The principal operation of the proposed TMLA was verified by LTspice simulation.

Abstract

This letter proposes a T-type multi-level linear amplifier (TMLA) as a new topology of Multi-level linear amplifier (MLLA) circuit based on the T-type NPC multi-level inverter. The proposed TMLA can improve output voltage drop and efficiency because the output current passes through only one MOSFET when outputting large voltages compared to other topologies of MLLAs. The principal operation of the proposed TMLA was verified by LTspice simulation.
