Ti 2 CCl 2 /Aramid Nanofiber Composite Aerogels for Thermal Management
Efficient thermal management aerogels are pivotal for next-generation energy storage, electronics, and aerospace applications. Herein, we synthesize Ti2CCl2/aramid nanofiber (ANF) composite aerogels via a two-step extended-release proton gelation couple with freeze–drying. The resulting lightweight composite aerogels exhibit an ultralow density of 0.0425 g/cm3 and high porosity (96.38%), concurrently achieving a thermal conductivity of 0.0675 W·m–1·K–1. This combination highlights their dual capability in effective heat management and thermal insulation. Leveraging the intrinsic heat resistance of polyamides, Ti2CCl2 nanosheets, and structure design, the composite aerogels demonstrate high thermal stability (530 °C) and exceptional mechanical strength (536.65 kPa). Notably, the outstanding photothermal conversion capacity of Ti2CCl2 nanosheets enables ultrafast photothermal response, with the surface temperature exceeding 100 °C within 10 s under infrared illumination, signifying strong potential for rapid thermal modulation. This work established a versatile design pathway for multifunctional aerogels in advanced thermal management systems.
