Research on the delay compensation method of digital-analog hybrid simulation interface of distribution network

In a digital-analog hybrid simulation system, an interface delay between the digital and physical components is unavoidable, regardless of the interface algorithm used. Many existing delay compensation strategies face challenges, including the requirement for significant computational resources, complex implementation, or precise models. This paper proposes a delay compensation strategy based on virtual power. Following the principle of the ideal transformer interface algorithm, a virtual load is introduced between the digital and physical sides to generate virtual power. By controlling this virtual power using a PI regulator, we obtain an accurate phase compensation signal. It allows for the compensation of the voltage signal, resulting in a precise voltage output without delay, thereby reducing the operational error between the digital and physical sides. The structure of this strategy is easy to implement, ensuring stability and accuracy in the digital-analog hybrid simulation system. Finally, both simulations and experiments confirm that this method enables synchronous operation of the digital-analog hybrid simulation system.
