Studies of 3D anti-vibration system subjected to impulsive forcing.

Impulse vibrations occurring in the environment often have a negative impact on their surroundings. Cyclic shocks and impacts, especially those of high amplitude, lead to faster wear and destruction of mechanical components, breaches in the structures of construction objects, and the occurrence or worsening of health problems among exposed people. The paper presents the results of testing an exemplary anti-vibration system for damping impulsive vibrations. The developed model was fabricated using 3D printing technology using the SLS method. Laboratory tests were based on recording the vibration acceleration of the lower and upper surfaces of the anti-vibration system subjected to impulse forcing. The tested structure was placed on a mechanical vibration exciter table and then loaded with a test mass causing its 10% static deflection. The laboratory results obtained showed good damping of impulsive impacts of the tested system. In order to check the possibility of simulating the anti-vibration properties (including damping of impulsive vibrations) of the developed system, a series of FEM numerical simulations were carried out. The obtained laboratory test results were used to verify the results of the numerical simulations.
