Sound Impact Assessment of Concerts at the Estádio Nacional de Brasília: Mapping and Simulation Analysis
The Brazilian artistic field is vast, and musical sounds often exceed the physical boundaries of buildings, integrating into the local soundscape. This study aims to investigate the sound impacts of concerts at the Arena of the Estádio Nacional de Brasília, Mané Garrincha, one of the most modern stadiums in the country, with a capacity of over 72,000 people in the heart of the capital. The methodology involved acoustic analysis through mapping in different scenarios: cultural event noise in isolation, combined with traffic noise, and traffic noise alone. Baseline data were collected through in situ measurements to feed simulations in the CADNA-A software. The results presented a mapping model that identifies and analyzes point sound sources in four stage directions. It was observed that concert sounds do not negatively impact the local soundscape when directed towards the eastern area, maintaining sound pressure levels within the limits established by NBR 10151:2019. This study aligns with recent research by experts such as Bistafa, S. R. (2023), who highlights traffic and outdoor events as major sources of urban noise, and Yanagiya, T. (2024), who discusses the effects of noise pollution in metropolitan areas.
