Optimizing Resonant Slits in Sonic Crystal Acoustic Barriers: Effects of Orientation, Positioning, and Tuning
The integration of resonant slits within sonic crystal acoustic barriers (SCABs) has attracted significant attention due to their potential to enhance noise attenuation across a broad frequency spectrum. This study examines the effects of resonant slit orientation and positioning, as well as resonance tuning, on the acoustic performance of SCABs. Numerical simulations were conducted to analyze how variations in slit angles, alignment relative to sound wave incidence, and spatial arrangement influence sound attenuation characteristics. Additionally, the tuning of resonant frequencies through geometric modifications, such as slit length and cavity dimensions, is investigated to optimize barrier performance for specific noise bands. The findings demonstrate that precise orientation and strategic positioning of resonant slits significantly enhance sound attenuation, particularly in low-frequency ranges, while resonance tuning broadens the effective attenuation bandwidth. These results contribute to the development of advanced SCABs with tailored acoustic properties, offering effective solutions for various noise control applications.
