Measurement of Speech Attenuation in Two Acoustic Booths According to the ISO 23351-2 Draft Standard

The working group WG 34 "Speech attenuation" of ISO TC 43 SC2 is currently developing the ISO 23351-2 draft standard, Acoustics - Measurement of speech level reduction of furniture ensembles and enclosures - Part 2: Field method. This standard will describe the field test method for evaluating speech attenuation in office elements such as acoustic booths, enclosures, or semi-enclosures for workspaces such as offices. In this study, the speech level reduction of two models of polyester-made office acoustic booths was assessed, considering different applications of the proposed test methodology to compare the method's application and the replicability of the obtained results.
