Experimental study on secondary pulsation of bubbles at spherical boundaries with different curvatures
Bubble dynamics are widely used in the fields such as marine engineering and underwater explosion protection. This study conducted experimental research on the secondary pulsation of bubbles and the surface load characteristics near the boundaries of curved surfaces with different curvatures. By defining the dimensionless explosion distance and curvature parameters and systematically changing the working conditions, the influence of the curved boundary on the bubble pulsation process and the surface load characteristics was explored. The experimental results show that the peak value of the second pulsation bubble load shows a significant correlation with the change in the explosion distance. Furthermore, by comparing the bubble load characteristics of the horizontal wall and the curvature surface boundary, the key influence mechanism of the boundary shape on the second pulsation bubble load was revealed. The research results can provide a reference for engineering problems such as the impact resistance design of underwater structures.
