Research on the structure and magnetic properties of high performance Fe74Si11B10Cr2C3 spherical amorphous powder

The gas-water two-phase coupling rapid solidification atomization (GWC) method enables superior Fe 74 Si 11 B 10 Cr 2 C 3 amorphous powder with 92% sphericity and fully amorphous structure below 48 μm. Comparative analysis confirms GWC-processed powder exhibits lower oxygen content and enhanced morphology over conventional water-atomized powder. Annealing optimization reveals peak magnetic properties at 470 °C, achieving saturation magnetization (Ms) of 157.9 emu/g and minimized coercivity (Hc) of 286.12 A/m. Crucially, heterogeneous doping of 20 wt.% Fe-3.5wt.%Si powder (D 50 =10 μm) significantly elevates composite performance: Ms increases 14.7% to 181.13 emu/g while effective permeability (μ e ) rises 16.08% to 27.28. This enhancement demonstrates >95% consistency with magnetic moment superposition theory. The core losses of composite magnetic powder core remains controlled at 701.8 mW/cm 3 (1MHz/20mT), confirming the heterocomposite strategy successfully amplifies soft magnetic properties without compromising high-frequency applicability. The synergistic GWC method and optimized hybrid design establish a benchmark for high-performance magnetic composites.

Abstract

The gas-water two-phase coupling rapid solidification atomization (GWC) method enables superior Fe 74 Si 11 B 10 Cr 2 C 3 amorphous powder with 92% sphericity and fully amorphous structure below 48 μm. Comparative analysis confirms GWC-processed powder exhibits lower oxygen content and enhanced morphology over conventional water-atomized powder. Annealing optimization reveals peak magnetic properties at 470 °C, achieving saturation magnetization (Ms) of 157.9 emu/g and minimized coercivity (Hc) of 286.12 A/m. Crucially, heterogeneous doping of 20 wt.% Fe-3.5wt.%Si powder (D 50 =10 μm) significantly elevates composite performance: Ms increases 14.7% to 181.13 emu/g while effective permeability (μ e ) rises 16.08% to 27.28. This enhancement demonstrates >95% consistency with magnetic moment superposition theory. The core losses of composite magnetic powder core remains controlled at 701.8 mW/cm 3 (1MHz/20mT), confirming the heterocomposite strategy successfully amplifies soft magnetic properties without compromising high-frequency applicability. The synergistic GWC method and optimized hybrid design establish a benchmark for high-performance magnetic composites.
