Epidemiological and Antimicrobial Resistance Trends of Klebsiella Pneumoniae Pre-, During, and Post-COVID-19 Pandemic in a Teaching Hospital in Southwest China
Klebsiella pneumoniae resistance temporarily declined during the pandemic but rebounded in the post-pandemic phase, whereas fluoroquinolone resistance continued to rise throughout. In the post-pandemic phase, CRKP exhibited markedly elevated resistance to aminoglycosides, fluoroquinolones, and monobactams, highlighting the urgent need for sustained AMR surveillance, AMS, and targeted IPC in the post-COVID-19 era.
