The effect of business management factors on management performance of regional culture foundations: focusing on the moderating effect of organizational autonomy level

This study examines the effects of managerial factors on the performance of regional culture foundations and investigates the moderating role of organizational autonomy. Using performance data of public foundations evaluated in 2024, the regression analysis was conducted on 96 regional culture foundations. The analysis results show that managerial factors of leadership, safety management, and community collaboration positively influence the appropriateness of business performance. Leadership also enhances customer satisfaction, but strategic and ethical management demonstrate negative associations. These imply that rigid systems may hinder customer-oriented service delivery. While the direct effect of organizational autonomy was limited, significant moderating effects were observed. Autonomy combined with human resource management improved customer satisfaction, however, its interaction with financial management had a negative impact. These findings highlight the importance of aligning autonomy with appropriate managerial systems. This study suggests practical implications for balancing foundation’s autonomy and governance in enhancing service quality and performance of foundations.
