Tetrahydroxydiboron-Mediated Synthesis of α-Sulfonyl Ketoximes from Nitroalkenes and Sodium Sulfinates

A tetrahydroxydiboron-mediated facile synthesis of α-sulfonyl ketoximes from nitroalkenes and sodium sulfinates was developed. In this reaction, the oximes were formed through the reduction of nitro and avoided the utilization of an external NO source. This reaction features mild reaction conditions, gram-scale synthesis, broad substrate scope, and good functional group tolerance.

Abstract

A tetrahydroxydiboron-mediated facile synthesis of α-sulfonyl ketoximes from nitroalkenes and sodium sulfinates was developed. In this reaction, the oximes were formed through the reduction of nitro and avoided the utilization of an external NO source. This reaction features mild reaction conditions, gram-scale synthesis, broad substrate scope, and good functional group tolerance.
