Difference between estimated GFR based on cystatin C versus creatinine and incident dementia, cognitive functions and biological aging: A cohort study of the UK Biobank
A negative eGFRdiff (eGFRcys-eGFRcr < -15 mL/min/1.73m2) was associated with a higher risk of dementia, poorer cognitive functions, and worse biological age acceleration. While those with a positive eGFRdiff had a lower risk.
