Improper narrow bandgap molecular ferroelectrics enable light-excited pyroelectricity for broadband self-powered photoactivities
We report an improper molecular ferroelectric with the first observation of a photo-pyroelectric effect in thin-film form, enabling broadband (UV–NIR) self-powered photoactivity beyond its bandgap for photodetectors and infrared energy harvesters.
