A novel technique to remove bladder foreign body with combined single port laparoscopy and cystoscopy in carbon dioxide circumstances
The urinary bladder is the most usual site of foreign bodies in the genitourinary tract. Herein, a 33 years old man who has inserted 29 olive shaped balls with high-strength magnetism (so called “Buck ball”) into his bladder. We describe a technique that can be used as retrieving relative larger and more numerous foreign bodies especially with magnetism from the bladder using single suprapubic trocar and laparoscopic lithotomy forceps under the observation of transurethral cystoscopy in CO2 circumstances. This operation has been found to be relatively atraumatic and easy to perform.
