Using Vikor's multi-criteria decision making method to find the best combination of PZT5 in the presence of barium, cobalt and molybdenum additives for use in pressure sensors

The purpose of this paper is to analyze effect of barium, molybdenum and cobalt additives on the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Pb(Zr 0.52 Ti 0.48 ) O 3 ceramics. For this purpose, Polycrystalline samples of PZT ceramics doped with Ba, Co and Mo near the morphotropic phase boundary have been synthesized by wet chemical method. The samples were poling by a low temperature method. Preliminary X-ray analysis of the compound confirms that there is no change in the crystal structure of PZT when combined with addetives. The maximum electromechanical coupling coefficient and piezoelectric charge coefficient among the samples belongs to the sample combined with Ba and was obtained as 0.45, 350 pC/N respectively. These results are discussed in terms of the position occupied by the additives in the lattice and their respective microstructures. Then Vikor's multi-criteria decision making model was used to identify the best combination for use in pressure sensors. In the present study, it has been tried to replace Mo, Co and Ba and combine them on Pb(Zr 0.52 Ti 0.48 )O 3 to obtain high mechanical quality coefficient, piezoelectric charge coefficient and dielectric properties for use in pressure sensors, high power generators and Sonar systems.

For this purpose, Polycrystalline samples of PZT ceramics doped with Ba, Co and Mo near the morphotropic phase boundary have been synthesized by wet chemical method.
