Redescription of Tenuipalpus rosae Kadzhaja (Acari: Trombidiformes: Tenuipalpidae), a new record from Caucasus

A new recorded species of flat mite (Acari: Trombidiformes: Tenuipalpidae), Tenuipalpus rosae Kadzhaja, 1955, from the Caucasus region is redescribed and illustrated based on the female and male specimens collected from Rosa sp. in Georgia. The species redescription provides comprehensive details about the leg chaetotaxy and reproductive system (spermatheca and aedeagus) of both female and male. A key to adult females of Tenuipalpus distributed in Georgia is provided for the species identification.
