Low crosstalk ultra-compact array receiving module for target position detection

We present a 16-channel low crosstalk ultra-compact array receiving module for target position detection. The module hybrid integrates an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG), variable optical attenuator (VOA), array avalanche photodiodes (APDs), and operational amplifier circuits. Despite the integration of multiple devices, its overall size is only 90 mm × 50 mm × 8 mm. It demonstrates remarkable -60 dB low channel crosstalk and -30 dBm high signal reception sensitivity. Moreover, reliability tests show that it has excellent stability within the temperature range of -10°C to 60°C. This module, when paired with optical fiber sensors, can precisely monitor the position and status of the target, overcoming the shortcomings of traditional discrete detection systems such as low integration, large volume, high channel crosstalk, and poor environmental adaptability. It has high application value in fields such as seismic detection, underwater monitoring, and energy exploration.
